Over 450 people have been killed and 646 injured in Israeli attacks on Iran, according to Human Rights Activists in Iran (HRAÑA), a human rights organization. British broadcaster BBC reported this information today, Tuesday, June 17.
According to HRAÑA's data, among the deceased, 224 are civilians and 109 are military personnel. Additionally, 188 civilians and 123 military personnel have been injured in the Israeli assaults.
However, the organization has been unable to identify whether 119 of the deceased and 335 of the injured are military or civilian. The Iranian government has not yet provided any information regarding these casualty figures.
Previously, Iran's Ministry of Health had reported that over 200 citizens were killed in Israeli airstrikes.
It is worth noting that Israel suddenly launched airstrikes on Iran in the early hours of June 13. In an operation dubbed 'Operation Rising Lion,' Israeli forces targeted various military installations, nuclear research centers, and residential areas across Iran, including the capital, Tehran.
Since then, the ongoing conflict has resulted in numerous deaths and injuries on both sides. However, no formal initiatives have been taken to de-escalate this violent situation to date.
