Colonel Iman Tajik, an elite branch of Iran's armed forces, has claimed that Tehran currently holds full control of Israeli airspace. This assertion comes after Israel recently made a similar claim regarding Iranian airspace.
On Tuesday night, Iran launched two rounds of missile attacks targeting Israel. In a message posted on social media platform X after the second wave of attacks, Colonel Tajik stated, "Tonight's missile attacks prove that we completely control the airspace of the occupying forces, and its residents are completely vulnerable to Iranian missile attacks."
Earlier on Tuesday night, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei declared war against Israel.
On Friday, June 13, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) attacked at least 100 targets in eight Iranian cities, including the capital Tehran, in the early hours of the morning. Shortly after the attacks began, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a video message that Israel had launched "Operation Rising Lion" against Iranian threats, and that the operation would continue as long as the Iranian threat persisted.
The Israeli attacks reportedly killed at least 450 people, including several high-ranking Iranian military officials and nuclear scientists.
Meanwhile, following the IAF's attacks, Iran's military began retaliatory missile strikes on Israel starting Friday. In these counter-attacks, dubbed "Operation True Promise," over 500 people have so far been killed or injured in Israel.
