The start of the last ODI World Cup was not good enough for England. England wanted to pick up two important points by defeating Scotland at the start of the T20 World Cup.

But unfortunately the match was abandoned due to rain. England and Scotland started the World Cup by sharing points.

Scotland won the toss and decided to bat on Tuesday (June 4). Openers Mitchell Jones and Georgie Munshi got off to a great start. They scored 42 runs without losing wickets in the powerplay with the bat of the two.

Rain hit the match in 6.2 overs. After a long period of rain, the length of the match was reduced to 10 overs. Two Scottish openers scored 90 runs without losing wickets in 10 overs.

In reply, when England started playing in the pitch the rain again attacked the match. In the end, the umpires was forced to abandon the match.
