India will not travel to Pakistan for ICC Champions Trophy 2025

Pakistan will host the upcoming Champions Trophy. The Indian cricket team will not travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. Recently, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) plans to request the International Cricket Council (ICC) to relocate their matches to either Sri Lanka or Dubai, newswire ANI reported, quoting BCCI sources.

The ICC Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan between February and March 2025. Due to strained political relations, India has not played cricket in Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup.

The ICC Champions Trophy is being held after seven years. One of the most prestigious ICC tournaments is scheduled to start in Pakistan in February 2025. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already made the possible schedule of the Champions Trophy to the ICC. However, there were doubts about whether India would go to Pakistan to play the tournament.

Eight teams will perticipate in the upcoming Champions Trophy. The tournament is scheduled to begin on February 19, 2025, with the final on March 9. The PCB has already started arranging competitions.

According to the schedule prepared by the PCB, seven matches are scheduled to be held in Lahore. Apart from this, five matches are scheduled to be held in Rawalpindi and three matches in Karachi. The India-Pakistan match is scheduled to be played in Lahore on March 1. However, this schedule has not been released yet. This is the proposed schedule by PCB.
