South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch, who had signed up for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) for the first time, has been banned for a year by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for signing a new contract with the IPL while still under contract with a PSL franchise. Bosch was picked as a replacement by Mumbai Indians after their cricketer Lizard Williams was ruled out due to injury.

The PCB sent a legal notice to Bosch for signing a new contract with the IPL while still under contract with a PSL franchise. Now, the PCB has banned Bosch from the PSL for one year.

This year's PSL is starting during the IPL. As a result, many cricketers have not signed contracts with PSL franchises to play in the IPL, as the financial benefits in the IPL are much higher.

When Bosch was called up by the IPL, he withdrew his name from the PSL and also apologized. In a PCB press release, Bosch said, "I am ashamed of my decision to withdraw my name from the PSL. I apologize to Pakistan, Peshawar Zalmi, and cricket fans for this."

In addition to the ban, Corbin Bosch has also been fined, although the amount of the fine has not been disclosed.

Accepting the ban and expressing his desire to play in the PSL again, Bosch said, "I take full responsibility for my actions and accept the fine and one-year ban imposed as punishment.

Although this is a tough lesson for me, I am committed to learning from this experience and hope to return to the PSL with renewed vigor and the trust of the fans in the future."
