Dengue: 14 patients die; 1,594 hospitalized in 24hrs

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Friday, Fourteen more deaths were reported from dengue in 24 hours, raising the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease in Bangladesh to 528 this year.

According to DGHS, During the period, 1,594 more patients were hospitalized with the viral fever.

A total of 7,829 dengue patients, including 3,570 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.

703 were admitted to hospitals in Dhaka and the rest outside the capital--indicating a worsening situation across the country.
