Dengue: Bangladesh witnessed 21 deaths in a single day

Bangladesh today witnessed 21 the highest single-day dengue death for the second time this year while 3,015 were admitted to different hospitals in the country during the last 24 hours.

Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said, "The death toll from dengue infection crossed the 800-mark as the authorities recorded 867 dengue deaths between January 1, 2023 and September 20." 

"During the period, 857 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city while 2,158 were admitted to different hospitals outside it."
