Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi held bilateral talks in New Delhi on Saturday (June 22). After the bilateral meeting, 10 MoUs were signed Three of the agreements were renewed.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held bilateral talks with her Indian counterpart Narendra Modi. The MoUs were signed during the meeting held at Hyderabad House in New Delhi.
The MoUs signed:
1. Bangladesh-India Digital Partnership.
2. India-Bangladesh Green Partnership.
3. Maritime cooperation and the blue economy.
4. Renewal of old agreements on health and medicine.
5. MoU of IN-SPACE and Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications of India.
6. MoU regarding connectivity between the Railway Ministries of the two countries.
7. Agreement between the two countries on marine research.
8. Renewal of existing agreement between the National Disaster Management Authority of India and Bangladesh Ministry of Relief and Disaster Management in disaster management and mitigation.
9. Renewal of existing agreements on fisheries development.
10. MoU between Defense Services Staff College, Wellington-India and Defence Services Command and Staff College, Mirpur on military education cooperation in strategic and operational sectors.
Sheikh Hasina paid homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat in New Delhi on Saturday (june 22) morning. Earlier, Sheikh Hasina went to the Indian Rashtrapati Bhavan at 9 pm local time. There he was given a royal reception and guard of honour. Later, Sheikh Hasina exchanged pleasantries with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Indian ministers and senior officials. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also exchanged pleasantries with senior officials of Bangladesh present there.
