Hezbollah Orders Evacuation of Israeli Residents Near Lebanon Border

Friday, 06 March 2026 , 03:37 PM

Tensions in the Middle East reached a new peak on Friday as Hezbollah issued a formal warning to Israeli residents living within 5 kilometers (3 miles) of the Lebanon border, ordering them to evacuate their homes immediately.

The warning, delivered via a message in Hebrew on the group's official Telegram channel, marks a significant escalation in the ongoing regional conflict.

Hezbollah stated that its directive was a direct response to what it characterized as Israel’s "attacks on Lebanese sovereignty" and a "campaign of expulsion" targeting civilians.

The group declared that these actions "would not go unanswered," signaling a potential widening of the direct military confrontation between Hezbollah and Israeli forces.

The evacuation order followed a night of heavy military activity. Late Thursday, the Israeli military launched a series of high-intensity airstrikes across Lebanon, specifically targeting the southern suburbs of Beirut, which are widely considered to be a Hezbollah stronghold.

The strikes were preceded by Israeli instructions for local residents to flee the area to ensure their safety.

In a simultaneous development, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that they had initiated a "broad-scale wave of strikes against Iranian terror regime infrastructure in Tehran."

These coordinated military actions suggest an intensification of the conflict, as Israel shifts to a broader offensive posture against both Hezbollah in Lebanon and its primary state backer, Iran.

The rapidly deteriorating security situation has heightened fears of a full-scale regional war.

With civilians on both sides of the border being urged to evacuate their homes, humanitarian concerns are mounting alongside the escalating military rhetoric.

Authorities in both nations have yet to provide a timeline for when these hostilities might subside, as both sides appear to be escalating their offensive operations.
