Mahdi Amin, who holds the rank of a State Minister, currently serves as the Prime Minister’s Adviser for several key ministries, including Education, Primary and Mass Education, Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, and Labour and Employment.
A long-time close associate of the Prime Minister, Amin previously served as a spokesperson for the BNP’s central election conduction committee during the 13th parliamentary polls.
His career is marked by significant contributions to state reforms based on the 31-point outline, focusing on inclusive development, youth empowerment, and socio-economic policy across South Asia.
He has served as an adviser to Tarique Rahman since 2014 and is a member of the BNP Foreign Affairs Advisory Committee.
Joining him as spokesperson is AAM Saleh Shibly, a veteran journalist with a distinguished career in Bangladesh’s media landscape.

His leadership in the journalist community includes serving as the General Secretary of the Dhaka Reporters’ Unity (DRU) in 2004 and the Dhaka University Journalists’ Association (DUJA) in 1994.
Shibly also brings extensive diplomatic and political communication experience to the role, having served as the First Secretary (Press) at the Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata and as the Press Secretary to Tarique Rahman during his tenure as Acting Chairman of the BNP.
Both appointees have worked closely with the current Prime Minister and BNP Chairman for decades, bringing a wealth of experience in strategic communication to the PMO.
