Case against ex-Sonagazi OC, PBI asked to investigate

After accepting the case filed against former Officer in Charge (OC) of Sonagazi police station Moazzem Hossain under ICT act the court has ordered Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate the case.

Lawyer Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman made an appeal for the case with Cyber Crime Tribunal on Monday. After hearing over the appeal the order was delivered in the afternoon.

In the appeal it was said, Nusrat became victim of harassment in another phase at the room of the then OC of Sonagazi police station when she went there to file a complaint of sexual harassment. While inquiring the OC recorded the video of Nusrat undermining the rules. Later the video was spread in the social media.

It was also said, while taking the verbal compliant of Nusrat two male voices were heard but there was no woman or lawyer of her.

Barrister Syed Sayedul Haque Suman said, I have appealed for filing case against ex-OC of Sonagazi police station for spreading Nusrat's video in social media and for asking objectionable questions.

In the appeal of the case it was also said, on March 27 principal of the madrasa called Nusrat at his office room. He sexually harassed her by showing temptation of giving examination question paper. In this connection when Nusrat went to police station to file complain the OC said, 'Move your hands from your face, stop crying'. He even said, 'Nothing has happened so that you have to cry'.

Mentionable, as allegation raised against the OC Moazzem Hossain for dillydallying to detain the accused of Nusrat arson attack case, he was removed from his duty and transferred to Armed Police Battalion on April 10.
