Five journos get ActionAid-NDBUS Media Fellowship 2022

Five journalists of renowned media of Bangladesh have received the prestigious "ActionAid–NDBUS Media Fellowship 2022" for their impact on reporting on the crisis of slum people in Bangladesh. 

With support from ActionAid, Nagar Daridra Bastibasir Unnayan Sangstha (NDBUS) held the award-giving ceremony Tuesday afternoon at their Kalyanpur Office of Dhaka.

The young journalists who received the media fellowship are Babu Kamruzzaman of NEWS24, Mahmud Kamol of Machhranga TV, Siam Sarower Jamil of Dhaka Tribune, Zahidur Rahman of the Business Standard, and Daily Bangladesh journalist Shafiqul Islam Rasel.

NDBUS, a movement of slum people to uphold the greater interest of urban poor slum dwellers including their livelihood development and socio-economic advancement, organized ‘ActionAid-NDBUS Media Fellowship 2022’ to initiate young journalists to write about the crisis of slum people in Dhaka.   

In the prize-giving event, the guests handed over financial honours and certificates to the recipients of the fellowship.
