A sudden fire broke out in a parked Labbayek Paribahan bus in Ashulia, resulting in extensive damage to the vehicle. A fire service unit managed to bring the blaze under control after approximately 20 minutes of effort.
The incident occurred on Sunday (May 18th) at 11:50 PM in front of the new DEPZ in Ashulia, where the bus was parked. Fortunately, no casualties were reported in the fire.
According to eyewitnesses, the driver and his assistants had left the bus parked by the roadside to purchase mosquito coils. Upon their return, they found the bus engulfed in flames.
They immediately contacted the fire service, and a unit from the DEPZ Fire Station quickly arrived at the scene and extinguished the fire.
Abdul Ahad, a firefighter from the DEPZ Fire Service, told the media that they received a report of the fire at 11:58 PM.
A unit from the DEPZ Fire Service worked to control the fire at the scene, and it was brought under control by 12:40 AM. However, the initial cause of the fire is currently unknown, he stated.
