Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus convened a high-level meeting on the law and order situation at the state guesthouse, Jamuna. During the meeting, he issued several crucial directives aimed at maintaining stability and security in the country.
The meeting, held on Monday afternoon (February 3), was attended by Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury, the Chief Adviser's Special Assistant Khuda Bakhsh Chowdhury, and Home Secretary Nasimul Gani.
Professor Yunus expressed concerns that allies of the ousted autocratic ruler Sheikh Hasina are investing substantial sums to incite unrest and spread misinformation. He urged heightened vigilance against such propaganda and emphasized the need for collective efforts to counteract it.
He instructed the heads of law enforcement agencies to remain on constant alert against any attempts to disrupt public order. Stressing the significance of the current year for the nation, he underscored the necessity of preventing any form of anarchy.
