Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus and UN Secretary-General António Guterres attended an Iftar gathering with hundreds of thousands of Rohingyas in Ukhiya, Cox's Bazar.
The two dignitaries arrived in Cox's Bazar earlier in the day, travelling via Bangladesh Biman Airlines from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. Upon arrival, they were received by Farooq-e-Azam, Adviser to the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief.
During his visit, the UN Secretary-General engaged in discussions with Rohingya students and community members, focusing on their living conditions. His schedule also includes various activities in the refugee camps throughout the evening.
As part of the visit, both leaders joined the Iftar gathering, sharing the meal with the displaced Rohingya community.
