In protest of Israel's genocide in Gaza, a platform called Palestine Solidarity Movement Bangladesh has issued urgent instructions regarding the 'March for Gaza' program.
In a press release sent to the media on Friday (April 11), it was stated, "Conscientious people around the world are raising their voices against the ongoing genocide and ethnic cleansing by illegal occupier Israel in the Gaza Strip. In front of the eyes of 6 billion people, unimaginable violence is being inflicted on civilian populations—where even women and children are not spared. Religious places of worship, educational institutions, hospitals, and basic infrastructure are being destroyed through airstrikes. Yet, 57 Muslim-majority countries, the OIC, and their political and economic powers have so far failed to take any active initiative in addressing this humanitarian crisis."
Against this backdrop, peace-loving people across Europe, America, and the rest of the world are taking to the streets in protest. In Bangladesh, various political, social, and religious organizations are organizing protest programs against the ongoing oppression in Gaza.
As part of this ongoing movement, Palestine Solidarity Movement Bangladesh is organizing the 'March for Gaza' on Saturday, April 12 at 3:00 pm, heading towards the historic Suhrawardy Udyan. For the first time in Bangladesh's history, people from all political and non-political walks of life will unite to express solidarity with the people of Palestine.
The march will be presided over by Maulana Abdul Malek, Khatib of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque.
