DMP Bans All Forms of Gatherings Around Bangladesh Secretariat

The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on all forms of gatherings, including meetings, rallies, processions, and demonstrations, in and around the Bangladesh Secretariat.

The directive was issued through a notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjad Ali on Monday night (May 26).

According to the notice, in line with an earlier directive issued on May 10 by the DMP Commissioner, public assemblies of any kind are strictly prohibited in the vicinity of the Bangladesh Secretariat, the official residence of the Chief Adviser at Jamuna, and surrounding areas.

The DMP has urged everyone to adhere to the ban in the interest of maintaining law and order.
