Abu Abdullah M Saleh Appointed as PM's Press Secretary

Abu Abdullah M Saleh has been appointed as the Press Secretary to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.

The Ministry of Public Administration announced the appointment in a notification issued on Wednesday (February 18).

According to the notification, signed by Mohammad Nur-e-Alam, Deputy Secretary of the Contract and Foreign Appointments Branch of the Ministry, Abu Abdullah M Saleh has been appointed to the rank of Government Secretary.

The appointment is conditional upon his relinquishing any other profession, business, or active employment with any government, semi-government, or private institution or organization.

The order specifies that the appointment will remain in effect for the duration of the Prime Minister's term or until the Prime Minister’s pleasure (whichever occurs first). Other terms and conditions of the appointment will be determined by a formal contract.

The notification stated that the order has been issued in the public interest.
