Bangladesh Railway Releases Schedule for Advance Eid Train Tickets

Bangladesh Railway has announced the schedule for advance train ticket sales to ensure a smooth journey for passengers ahead of the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha.

In an effort to make the homecoming rush more comfortable, online ticket sales are set to begin on May 13, while return tickets will be available starting May 21.

Advance Ticket Purchase Dates
According to the official schedule, tickets for pre-Eid travel will be released as follows:

• May 13: Tickets for May 23
• May 14: Tickets for May 24
• May 15: Tickets for May 25
• May 16: Tickets for May 26
• May 17: Tickets for May 27

Return Ticket Purchase Dates
For the return journey after the holidays, tickets will be issued starting from 8:00 AM on the following dates:

• May 21: Tickets for May 31
• May 22: Tickets for June 1
• May 23: Tickets for June 2
• May 24: Tickets for June 3
• May 25: Tickets for June 4

Key Guidelines for Passengers
The railway authorities have outlined several regulations to manage the heavy demand:

Purchase Limit: A single passenger can buy advance and return tickets only once. A maximum of four tickets can be purchased per transaction.

No Refunds: Tickets purchased for the Eid advance and return periods are non-refundable.

Standing Tickets: To accommodate the high volume of travelers, standing tickets—equivalent to 25% of total seats (excluding premium classes)—will be sold from station counters on the day of departure.
