A moderate earthquake jolted the capital city, Dhaka, and various other regions across Bangladesh on Sunday (June 7). The tremor was felt at 11:36 PM.
The earthquake measured 5.7 on the Richter scale.

According to the Android Earthquake Alerts System, the epicenter of the quake was located just 7 kilometers from Punakha in neighboring Bhutan.
Although the epicenter was situated in Bhutan, the tremors were strongly felt across Bangladesh, Nepal, India, Bhutan, and China.
