Tarique Rahman Vows BNP Support for Shahidul Alam and Palestinians

Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), has stated that the BNP will always stand with Shahidul Alam and the people of Palestine.

He described the action of Drik Managing Director and photographer Shahidul Alam, who participated in the Gaza-bound Freedom Flotilla convoy, as a "symbol of solidarity and a roar of conscience."

Tarique Rahman made this comment in a post on his verified Facebook page at 1:52 AM on Friday (October 3).

In the post, Tarique Rahman said, "Shahidul Alam's initiative to participate in the Gaza-bound convoy is not just a symbol of solidarity, but a roar of conscience."

He added, "By carrying the flag of Bangladesh, he reminded the world that the people of Bangladesh have never bowed to oppression and injustice, and will never do so in the future."
