Dhaka records highest temperature in 58 years

The maximum temperature recorded in Dhaka today 40.4 degrees Celsius, the highest since 1965.

After 1965, it has been the hottest day in Dhaka on saturday, April 15.

Bangladesh Meteorological Department said, "Today the maximum temperature recorded in Dhaka 40.4 degrees Celsius, which is the highest since 1965. A temperature of 42 degrees Celsius was recorded that year."

The highest temperature recorded in the capital yesterday was 40.2 degrees Celsius, which was last recorded 9 years ago on April 14, 2014.

Today the highest temperature in the country recorded at Chuadanga at 42.2 degrees.
