Chhatra League Leader Golam Rabbani Arrested

Golam Rabbani Roni, the Joint General Secretary of Singra Municipal Chhatra League and the Organizational Secretary of the Upazila Swechchhasebak League has been arrested in Singra, Natore, as part of "Operation Devil Hunt."

Police conducted the raid on Wednesday (February 12) afternoon, leading to his arrest. Singra Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Asmaul Haque confirmed the news.

The arrest is linked to a case filed on September 5 last year, concerning an attack on BNP leaders during the 2018 11th National Parliamentary Elections. The case, filed by Tajpur Union Jubo Dal's Vice President Habibur Rahman Habib, accuses former State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak and 14 others of involvement in the incident.

According to OC Asmaul Haque, Golam Rabbani has been detained in connection with this case, which pertains to attacks on BNP activists in 2024. He has been presented before the court.
