Trading at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) is progressing with an upward trend in the index. In the first hour of trading, transactions at DSE exceeded Tk 1.75 billion.
On Tuesday (February 11), the third trading day of the week, DSE’s benchmark index rose by 30 points in the first hour (from 10 AM to 11 AM). Meanwhile, the Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) index also gained 40 points compared to the previous day.
Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE)
According to DSE data, in the first hour of trading on Tuesday:
The DSEX index increased by 30.93 points, reaching 5,205.21 points.
The DSES index rose by 6.67 points, standing at 1,155.87 points.
The DS30 index gained 6.73 points, reaching 1,918.96 points.
A total of 378 companies' shares were traded at DSE during this period:
Share prices increased for 266 companies.
Prices declined for 55 companies.
Prices remained unchanged for 57 companies.
Total trade volume reached Tk 1.75 billion (Tk 1.7517 billion).
Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)
In CSE, the major indices showed gains except for CSE-30:
The CASPI index rose by 40.31 points, reaching 14,516.06 points.
The CSCX index increased by 20.88 points, standing at 8,801.85 points.
The CSE-50 index gained 2.41 points, reaching 1,108.42 points.
The CSI index rose by 5.13 points, standing at 940.88 points.
The CSE-30 index, however, dropped by 4.48 points, settling at 11,930.15 points.
A total of Tk 7.25 million worth of shares were traded at CSE:
48 companies saw price increases.
14 companies recorded declines.
14 companies remained unchanged.
