The government has issued a gazette notification keeping the prices of diesel, kerosene, petrol, and octane unchanged for the month of August.
This information was announced in a press release by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Thursday evening, July 31.
The press release stated that the existing prices of fuel oil will remain unchanged for the month of August. This decision was made in line with the country's automatic pricing formula, which adjusts to fluctuations in global market prices.
The goal of this measure is to ensure a relatively affordable supply of fuel oil to consumers.
According to the decision, diesel will be sold at 102 taka per liter, kerosene at 114 taka, octane at 122 taka, and petrol at 118 taka during August.
The information was announced in an order from the Energy and Mineral Resources Division on Thursday, which will be effective starting August 1.
