Overall imports to the European Union (EU) grew by over 2% in 2025. During this period, China remained the top apparel supplier to the bloc, while Bangladesh solidified its second-place ranking, recording a year-on-year export growth of nearly 6%.
Throughout the year, the EU's total apparel imports increased by 2.10%, reaching a total value of $90 billion.

Despite the overall annual growth, the data highlights a sharp decline in the final month of the year.
In December 2025, Bangladesh’s apparel exports to the EU dropped by 12.05% compared to December 2024.
While Turkey saw a significant double-digit decline in its annual exports, India showed strong momentum with an approximately 8% increase, further closing the gap in the market.
