Actor Khalekuzzaman passed away

Heroic freedom fighter and actor M Khalekuzzaman (72) passed away. He breathed his last at his home on Tuesday, March 21 at around 9 am in the morning.

Ahsan Habib Nasim, the president of Shilpi Sangha, confirmed the matter. 

Actor Khalekuzzaman's funeral will be held at Kurmitola Jame Masjid at 5 pm in the afternoon.

Khalekuzzaman was born in Santahar. His father Shamsuzzaman was a medical officer of the British Railways. Mother Shaesta Akhter Zaman was a housewife. 

He is one of the first masters degree holders of Theater and Fine Arts Department of Chittagong University. Several years after the independence of the country, Khalekuzzaman became a listed artist of BTV in 1975. Before that, he acted in numerous stage plays during his school and college life.
