Karina’s Funeral and Burial Details Announced by Kaisar Hamid

The body of popular content creator and actress Karina Kaisar is scheduled to be brought back to the country today, Sunday (May 17). The information was confirmed by her father and former national footballer Kaisar Hamid.

He stated that Karina's body is expected to arrive in the country from Chennai, India, this afternoon. Following this, her first funeral prayer (janaza) will be held after the Asr prayer at the Banani DOHS Jame Mosque.

Kaisar Hamid further informed that a second janaza will take place on Monday (May 18) at the National Mosque Baitul Mukarram, after which she will be laid to rest in Gazaria, Munshiganj.

According to family sources, Karina suffered from liver failure induced by Hepatitis A and E. As her condition deteriorated, she was airlifted via an air ambulance last Monday night to the Christian Medical College (CMC) Hospital in Vellore, Chennai.

While doctors were managing a lung infection to prepare her for a liver transplant, her blood pressure dropped dangerously during the administration of antibiotics for the infection, rendering all medical efforts unsuccessful.

In addition to digital content creation, Karina had established a reputation for her talent in acting and screenwriting. Her performances in acclaimed OTT platform series such as Internsheep and 36-24-36 received significant widespread appreciation from audiences. Her untimely demise has sparked deep condolences from colleagues, filmmakers, and fans alike.
