Emirates, the Middle East's largest airline, announced the immediate suspension of all flights to and from Dubai until further notice.
The decision follows a security breach on Saturday involving an aerial interception directly over Dubai International Airport amid ongoing hostilities involving Iran.
In a statement posted on the social media platform X, the airline issued an urgent directive to travelers: "Please do not go to the airport."
The suspension marks a significant setback for the global travel hub, which handles the highest volume of international traffic in the world.
Operations at the facility had only partially resumed on Monday following a series of daily drone strikes that have targeted various strategic sites across the United Arab Emirates throughout the week.
The escalation in threats to civil aviation infrastructure has prompted heightened security protocols across the region.
Authorities have not provided a specific timeline for the resumption of services, as security assessments remain ongoing in response to the volatile regional situation.
