Four Bangladeshi Brothers Found Dead in Car in Oman

The bodies of four brothers from Bangladesh have been recovered from inside a car in the Muladda area of Oman. The deceased, all hailing from the Lalanagar Union of Rangunia Upazila in Chattogram, were identified as the sons of Abdul Majid.

The victims are Md. Rashed, Md. Shahed, Md. Siraj, and Md. Shahid. The tragic incident has cast a shadow of grief over the local Bangladeshi community and their hometown.

According to family sources, four out of Abdul Majid's five sons were working in Oman. Two of the brothers were unmarried and were scheduled to return to Bangladesh on May 15. They had reportedly gone out to shop for their upcoming trip home, and the incident occurred while they were returning.

Initial investigations by the Omani police suggest that the vehicle had been stationary with the engine running for an extended period.

Authorities suspect that toxic gas may have leaked from the air conditioning (AC) system and filled the car, leading to their deaths by inhalation. However, police are investigating whether it was a tragic accident or if there were other factors involved.

The bodies are currently being held under police custody at a local morgue. Officials stated that the exact cause of death will be confirmed once the full medical and autopsy reports are available.

Of the four deceased, the eldest brother was married and is survived by a son and a daughter. Another brother had also recently married before returning to Oman. The only surviving brother currently resides in Bangladesh.
