Seven explosions rocked Dubai, United Arab Emirates, within a span of just 20 minutes. According to various international media reports, the blasts occurred early Wednesday morning (August 5) in the Jebel Ali industrial and port area located in the southern part of the city.

Following the incident, videos circulating on social media showed thick plumes of black smoke billowing across the sky. These videos sparked concern and panic among local residents.

Iran's state-owned news agency Mehr reported that at least seven successive explosions occurred within a short timeframe. However, UAE authorities have not yet officially provided any explanation regarding the cause of the blasts.

Mehr News further claimed that two people were detained for recording videos of the scene. No official statement has been issued by the UAE government in this regard.

Meanwhile, several Iraqi media outlets claimed that amidst ongoing U.S.-Iran tensions, a missile strike was launched from Yemen toward the UAE. However, the truth of this claim could not be independently verified. At the same time, neither the UAE government nor any mainstream media outlets confirmed the missile attack report.

On the other hand, NASA thermal satellite imagery indicated the presence of a fire in a warehouse area adjacent to Jebel Ali Port. Preliminary information suggests that the warehouse was used for fuel storage and transfer.

No official information regarding casualties or damage has been released so far. However, videos shared on social media showed black smoke rising close to residential areas, causing anxiety among locals.

Notably, the UAE has remained on high alert throughout the period of U.S.-Iran tensions. As a close ally of the United States, concerns have been raised at various times that the country could potentially become a target for retaliatory attacks.

Several claims, including the missile attack, the cause of the explosions, and the detentions, remain independently unverified, and official confirmation from relevant authorities is pending.
