47th BCS Preliminary Exam Date Announced

The 47th BCS Preliminary Exam is scheduled to take place on June 27, 2025. The exam will be held from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm across multiple centres in Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh, as confirmed by the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC).

The announcement was made in an official notice signed by Masuma Afrin, the acting Controller of Examinations (Cadre Branch) at BPSC on Monday, March 24.

According to the notification, the MCQ-based Preliminary Test will be conducted simultaneously in all designated exam centres. Detailed information regarding exam halls, seating arrangements, and important guidelines will be published in due time on the official BPSC website (www.bpsc.gov.bd) and Teletalk Bangladesh Limited's website (http://bpsc.teletalk.com.bd).

The 47th BCS circular was initially issued on November 28, 2024. However, due to certain modifications, including adjustments in the application fee, a revised circular was published on December 26, 2024. The application process then commenced on December 29, 2024, and concluded on February 27, 2025.

A total of 374,747 candidates have applied to sit for the preliminary exam.

As per the official notification, the 47th BCS aims to recruit 3,487 candidates for cadre positions and 201 candidates for non-cadre positions, bringing the total number of recruits to 3,688.
