Dhaka University authority has postponed the results of ‘Gha unit’ admission test under social science faculty following allegation of question paper leak.
The information came through a notice issued from the Public Relations office of the university on Monday.
The ‘Gha unit’ admission test of the university was held on Friday in 81 centers. But before the test at 9:17 am a message consisting the questions and answers written on a white page came to the admission seekers what’s app and messenger. After holding the admission test similarity was found with 72 questions and answers of the leaked papers. In this connection the university authority formed three member investigation committee headed by Pro Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr. Mohammad Samad. The committee is yet to submit the report.
In this regard Gha unit Chief Coordinator Professor Sadeka Halim said, authority publishes the result. She was informed about the authority decision to publish the results on Tuesday and said, I know nothing about it and I was not informed. She handed over the results prepared by social science faculty to the online admission committee.
About publishing the results before submitting the investigation report, committee member and Assistant Proctor Professor Maksudur Rahman said, investigation committee report will be submitted now. Vice Chancellor Professor Akhtaruzzaman decided to postpone the decision of publishing results.
In this regard DU VC Professor Akhtaruzzaman said, it is a mistake by the office. They thought that results will be published on Tuesday. I have not got the investigation report yet. I cannot publish the results by not getting the investigation report.
