Online drug trafficking is thriving through eye-catching advertisements on social media. A

n invisible narcotics market has emerged across the Dark Web, Telegram, and WhatsApp, where a single message followed by a mobile transaction via bKash or Nagad ensures home delivery within moments.

Investigations reveal that following alcohol and Yaba, a new drug called ‘MDMB’ has now captured the market.

This dangerous substance is being marketed specifically to target the youth.

By mixing just a few drops into vape or e-cigarette cartridges, MDMB can severely impact the human nervous system. Consumption carries risks ranging from extreme addiction to death.

The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) recently caught an organized syndicate red-handed. The group had been using Facebook and WhatsApp as a "safe haven" for their illegal trade.

Md. Mehedi Hasan, Deputy Director of the DNC's Intelligence Division, stated that drug traffickers are constantly evolving their tactics.

He noted that their primary objective is to trap the younger generation using online platforms. In response, intelligence surveillance has been intensified to curb these crimes.

Experts warn that stopping this dangerous aggression of addiction in the digital world requires not only law enforcement action but also strong social resistance.
