Temperature around 40 degree; sufferings in public life

Severe hot wave is blowing in different parts of the country including capital Dhaka. Temperature is around 40 degree Celsius in some parts of the country. Public life has become unstable due to severe heat for the last several days. General people are waiting for rain for their comfort.

Meteorological department is saying, there is possibility of rain very soon. Temperature will fall down after the rainfall.

On Thursday in Dhaka till 4 pm the highest temperature was recorded 38.2 degree Celsius and lowest was 27.6 degree Celsius. Wind speed was 8 kilometers per hour. In the morning humidity was 67 percent which stood at 28 percent in the afternoon. The temperature rose by 3 degree Celsius on Thursday within one day difference.

Besides temperature was near 40 degree Celsius in some parts of the country outside Dhaka.

It was seen that- in Chattogram highest temperature was 35.7 degree Celsius and lowest 26.3 degree Celsius; in Sylhet highest 38.3 degree Celsius and lowest 24.4 degree Celsius, in Mymensingh highest 37.2 degree Celsius and lowest 25.1 degree Celsius, in Cumilla highest 38.4 degree Celsius and lowest 24.8 degree Celsius, in Rangpur highest 36.3 degree Celsius and lowest 24.8 degree Celsius, in Khulna 39.4 degree Celsius and lowest 25.4 degree Celsius, in Satkhira highest 39 degree Celsius and lowest 24.8 degree Celsius, in Jashore 39.3 degree Celsius and lowest 23.6 degree Celsius, in Barishal 38.8 degree Celsius and lowest 24 degree Celsius.

In this regard meteorologist Bazlur Rashid told Rtv online, hot wave is blowing over north and south-western region of Bangladesh. It may cross 40 degree Celsius tomorrow (Friday). There is possibility of some rain on Saturday. Temperature may come down if rain occurs.

He said, it called slight hot wave if temperature reaches 36 degree Celsius, if it is 38 degree Celsius it is called moderate hot wave and if the temperature reaches 40 degree Celsius then it is called severe hot wave. The hot wave which is blowing over the northern regions may spread in capital Dhaka. It causes less rainfall and increased temperature. Along with there is presence of aqueous vapor. For that increased heat is felt.

In the next 24 hours of weather forecast after 9 am on Thursday it was said that the hot wave may continue over Dhaka, Faridpur, Madaripur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Syedpur regions including Chattogram, Barishal, Khulna and Sylhet division. The day and night temperature may be unchanged.
