Al leader Obaidul Quader will sit with quota reform seekers today (Monday) as a senior AL leaderJahangir Kabir Nanak announced yesterday that the meeting would be held at 11:00 am Monday.
Jahangir Kabir Nanak went to the scene of the protest against existing quota system in government jobs to announce that the government will sit with the protesters at the orders of the prime minister.
He spoke to the press around 1:40 am Monday at Shahbagh as violent clashes were going on in the Dhaka University area.

Jahangir Kabir Nanak said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina had told Awami League General Secretary and Road Transport Minister Obaidul Quader to sit with the demonstrators in the morning to resolve the issues.
He said the meeting would be held at 11am, but he could not say what the venue would be.
On Sunday evening, police cracked down on the protesters who had taken position at the Shahbagh intersection. Violent clashes ensued and spread into the Dhaka University campus. On Monday, protesters had entered the vice-chancellor’s residence and vandalized his house.
