Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman conducted official party business at his Gulshan political office until the early hours of Sunday morning.
Prime Minister's Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony confirmed that the Premier remained at the office until 3 am on Saturday night to oversee important organizational tasks.
During this late-night session, several high-ranking party leaders were present, including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and Standing Committee members Dr. Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Nazrul Islam Khan, Iqbal Hasan Mahmud Tuku, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, and Begum Selima Rahman.
Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman and other Gulshan office officials also attended the session.
The primary focus of the late-night activity was the interview process for candidates seeking party nomination for reserved women seats in the 13th Jatiya Sangsad election.
The interview sessions for candidates from the Dhaka, Chattogram, Cumilla, Sylhet, and Mymensingh organizational divisions began on Saturday afternoon and extended well past midnight to accommodate the large number of aspirants.
