32,832 Bangladeshi Pilgrims Return Home from Hajj

A total of 32,832 Bangladeshi pilgrims have returned home from Saudi Arabia so far after performing the holy Hajj.

Meanwhile, 48 Bangladeshi pilgrims have passed away while staying in Saudi Arabia.

The relevant authorities confirmed that this data was recorded up to Saturday (June 6).

According to the latest Hajj bulletin published by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, the returned pilgrims include 3,328 individuals under government management and 29,504 under private management.

Flight statistics from the airlines show that Biman Bangladesh Airlines has transported 11,579 pilgrims so far.

In addition, Saudia transported 12,559 pilgrims, while Flynas brought back 7,700 pilgrims.

Apart from these, another 994 pilgrims left Saudi Arabia via other airlines. 

This year, a quota of over 78,500 pilgrims from Bangladesh was allocated under both government and private management.

The first outbound Hajj flight left for Saudi Arabia on April 18, and the final flight departed on May 21.

Meanwhile, the government of Bangladesh continues to provide medical treatment and other essential services to the pilgrims currently staying in Saudi Arabia.

To date, the medical center of the Bangladesh Hajj Mission has issued a total of 57,202 automated medical prescriptions. Furthermore, 26,035 digital services have been provided through the IT Help Desk.

The Hajj bulletin also noted that 360 pilgrims received treatment at various hospitals in Saudi Arabia due to physical illnesses.

Currently, 23 pilgrims remain admitted to different hospitals there, and their necessary medical care is being ensured.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs stated that the Bangladesh Hajj Mission, airlines, and relevant authorities are working in coordination to ensure the safe and smooth return of the pilgrims.

The return operations are scheduled to conclude with the final return flight on June 30.
