India dominated Day 2 of the first Test in Perth, bowling out Australia for a mere 104 runs in their first innings. Resuming at 67/7, the hosts crumbled further as Alex Carey and Nathan Lyon fell quickly. A brief partnership between Mitchell Starc (26) and Josh Hazlewood added some resistance, but India maintained control to secure a 46-run lead.

Jasprit Bumrah led the attack with an outstanding five-wicket haul, supported by Harshit Rana and Mohammed Siraj, who took three and two wickets respectively. Alex Carey contributed 21 runs for Australia in a disappointing batting display.

With a solid first-innings lead, India now holds the advantage as the Test progresses.
