India's Union Minister for Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia is currently leading a high-powered Indian delegation at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 in Barcelona, Spain.
The Minister engaged with global and Indian industry CEOs during a strategic interactive evening focused on the future of connectivity, innovation, and digital infrastructure.
Scheduled to run from March 2 to 5, the Minister’s itinerary includes the inauguration of the "Bharat Pavilion" and the unveiling of the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026 Curtain Raiser.
A major highlight of the visit was Scindia’s congratulations to Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman of Bharti Enterprises, who was conferred with the prestigious GSMA Lifetime Achievement Award.
The Minister described the honor as a proud moment for India and the global communications ecosystem.Minister Scindia is set to take the main stage for the GSMA Ministerial Program, titled "Built for What's Next," where he will address global leaders on breaking cost barriers and developing resilient digital frameworks.
His visit also features a significant technological milestone: the launch of Tejas Networks' T31600-D3 Hyper-scalable DCI Platform, a move that signals India's advancing capabilities in high-end telecom product development.
The delegation's participation underscores India's rising status as a global leader in the mobile ecosystem.
Through a series of bilateral meetings and technology demonstrations, the visit aims to attract international investment, deepen global partnerships, and strengthen India's role in shaping inclusive and secure digital networks worldwide.
