A unit of Adani Group's coal-fired power plant at Godda in Jharkhand, India, has resumed power supply. 510 MW was generated at 10 am and increased to 702 MW at 11 pm.

On Monday (July 1), the company in charge of Adani's public relations in Bangladesh said that the technical error has been fixed. Electricity supply was started at around five in the morning today.

On an average, about 1500 megawatts of electricity was available from the two units of the power plant. The first unit of the center was already shut down for routine maintenance. Production was halted last Friday due to a fault in the second unit.

Electricity enters Bangladesh from Adani's power plant through Rahanpur in Chapainawabganj. A technical glitch in the second unit cut production by half from June 25. Production was ramping up slowly, but it stopped completely at 9:43 am on Friday. Due to its sudden shutdown, there is a major shortage in power supply in the country. Now with the return to production, the supply of electricity has increased.

Earlier, the first unit of Adani power plant went under maintenance due to low demand during Eid holidays. It may return to production on July 5. The two units have a production capacity of 800 MW each.
