Want to hold free, fair and impartial election: PM

Prime Minister and Awami League president Sheikh Hasina said, we want to hold a free, fair and impartial election with participation of all parties, so that people can chose their leadership. Our aim is to ensure the management how they will find their leadership.

She said these at her introductory speech of the dialogue between Jukta Front and 14-party alliance including Awami League at the Banquet Hall of Gonobhaban on Friday evening.

The Prime Minister said, if there is no continuation of democratic trend then development is not possible. We want that this trend will continue and pace of development to be maintained.

The meeting between Jukta Front and 14-party alliance started after Prime Minister’s arrival at around 7:30 pm. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is leading the 14-party alliance delegation team. On the other hand Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh president, former president of the country and Jukta Front chairman Professor Dr. AQM Badruddoza Chowdhury is leading Jukta Front.

Apart from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina the other 14-party alliance members are- Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader, advisory council members Amir Hossain Amu, Tofail Ahmed, Presidium members Sheikh Fazlul Karim Selim, Matia Chowdhury, Abdul Matin Khasru, Kazi Zafrullah, 14-party spokesman Mohammad Nasim, Law Minister Anisul Huq, Dr. Mohammad Abdur Razzak, Ramesh Chandra Sen, joint general secretary Jahangir Kabir Nanok, Mahbubul Alam Hanif, Dr. Dipu Moni, organizing secretary Abdur Rahman, office secretary Dr. Abdus Sobhan Golap, publicity secretary Dr. Hasan Mahmud and law affairs secretary SM Rezaul Karim. Along with them there are Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu and Mainuddin Khan Badal of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal, Dilip Barua of Samyabadi Dal and Rashed Khan Menon of Workers Party.

Besides, there are 15 leaders of Jukta Front led by B. Chowdhury. Others are- Bikalpa Dhara Bangladesh secretary general Major Abdul Mannan (retd), presidium members Shamsher Mobin Chowdhury, Golam Sarwar Milon, Abdur Rauf Mannan, engineer Mohammad Yusuf, vice president Mahmuda Chowdhury, organizing secretary Barrister Omar Faruk, former law maker HM Golam Reza, BLDP president Nazim Uddin Al Azad, general secretary Delwar Hossain, NAP president Zebel Rahman Gani, secretary general M Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, NDP chairman Khondoker Golam Mortuza and Janata Party president Sheikh Asaduzzaman.
