Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader said, is BNP candidate Farzana not associated with militants? If Farzana is not a militant then who is militant? Many of the BNP nominated persons are associated with militants.
His remarks came in while responding different questions to the newsmen at a press conference on behalf of the party at Awami League president’s political office at Dhanmondi in the capital on Thursday.
Obaidul Quader said, Mirza Abbas did not submit nomination papers timely. So Election Commission did not accept his nomination papers. So far we know, there are two persons who did not submit nomination papers as they were not given nomination from their desired places. Nothing will happen for their imaginary complains.
He also said, hotchpotch situation is prevailing between them. All the leaders are beyond control of Mirza Fakhrul. Besides, Oikyafront is not united at the moment.
BNP nomination aspirants are being harassed- in response to this question the Awami League General Secretary said, tell that with evidences in which places your candidates are being harassed. Then Election Commission will take action against those. It is their old habit to through stones in the dark.
