Dhaka has once again been ranked as one of the most polluted cities in the world. Its Air Quality Index (AQI) score of 304 places it at the top of the global list. This level is classified as 'hazardous', posing serious health risks. Authorities advise residents to keep windows and doors closed and wear masks when going outside.
According to IQAir, an international air quality monitoring organization, this data was recorded at 8:30 am on Saturday (March 1).
Following Dhaka, Beijing, China, ranks second with an AQI score of 222, while Tashkent, Uzbekistan, follows closely in third place with 220.
IQAir categorizes the air quality in these cities as 'very unhealthy'.
