Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam has informed that whether the lockdown would be extended or not that will be decided on Thursday (April 8) after watching the situation.
He said this on Monday while answering questions at a news briefing at the secretariat after joining the virtual cabinet meeting.
The government has declared countrywide lockdown till April 11 with effect from today. To prevent corona infection the decision was taken on Sunday on behalf of the government. There are restrictions of automobiles movement and other activities of people.
In this regard the Cabinet Secretary said, let’s see what happens. People have to cooperate. You have repeatedly said. But still overall cooperation….. . If everybody use masks and abide by the health guidelines then there may not be any problem.
Considering the current coronavirus situation in the country whether the lockdown would be extended or not- when asked about this Khandker Anwarul said, let’s see us, we are waiting till Thursday.
