BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has described the roadmap for the 13th national elections, outlined by Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus with a timeframe between December and June, as unclear.
He made these remarks on Wednesday (March 26) at approximately 9:30 AM after paying respects at the mausoleum of BNP founder and former President Ziaur Rahman, on the occasion of the Great Independence and National Day.
The BNP Secretary General stated, "The Chief Advisor's statement regarding elections between December and June is a deceptive and vague statement.
This is not a declaration of any roadmap. The BNP has repeatedly called for an electoral roadmap; otherwise, the country's crisis will not be resolved."
He further added that the BNP talks about elections not to gain power, but to restore the voting rights of the people. Only an elected government can resolve the current crisis.
