Fire Breaks Out at Farmgate Mercantile Bank Branch
A fire broke out at Mercantile Bank in the capital's Farmgate area. Five units of the fire service are working to bring the fire under control.
The fire broke out at 9:20 am on Saturday (November 23).
Arjuman Akhter from the Fire Service Control Room confirmed this information to RTV Online.
She said that five units of the fire service rushed to the spot after receiving the news of the fire. They are still working to control the fire. The building is not accessible due to heavy smoke. She added that the cause of the fire and the extent of the damage were not immediately known.
According to a press release from the fire service, the fire first broke out in old goods in the basement of the 7-story building of Manoshi Plaza. The fire is not that much serious. However, it is taking time to completely control the fire due to the smoke.
