The dates for the HSC and equivalent exam form fill-up for this year have been announced. The process will begin on March 2 and will continue without any late fee until March 10. The fee can still be paid until March 11.
This information was recently shared through a notification signed by Professor S M Kamal Uddin Haider, the Controller of Examinations at the Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board.
The form fill-up fees have been increased across all departments this year. For science students, the fee, including the fourth subject, is set at 2,785 taka. Humanities and business studies students will need to pay 2,225 taka for the form fill-up. If a student in these departments has practical exams for the fourth or optional subjects, an additional 140 taka will be required.
The notification also states that from March 12 to March 17, students will be able to fill out the form online with a 100-taka late fee. The final date for fee payment will be March 18.
Furthermore, only students with valid registration and those who have passed their selection exams will be eligible to fill out the HSC form. However, if a student was unable to attend the selection exams due to valid reasons or illness, or if they did not pass, they will still be allowed to complete the form with a written request from their guardian and satisfactory results from pre-selection exams.
The notification also mentions that educational institutions are allowed to conduct model tests for HSC candidates. These tests will not be mandatory for the students, and no extra fees can be charged for them.
In addition, the HSC and equivalent exams are scheduled to start nationwide on June 26. The theory exams will run until August 10, and the practical exams will take place from August 11 to August 28. The 2025 HSC exams will follow the revised or shortened syllabus from 2023, with full marks and full time allotted for all subjects.
