A fighter jet of the Indian Air Force has crashed in Jamnagar, Gujarat. The aircraft broke into pieces, and its wreckage was seen engulfed in flames, according to a report by NDTV.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night (April 2) in Subhadra Nagar, approximately 12 kilometers from Jamnagar. One pilot lost his life while another sustained injuries and was rushed to the hospital.
According to Air Force officials, the twin-seater Jaguar was conducting a routine training mission. Before the crash, one of the pilots managed to eject safely. The aircraft had taken off from the Ambala Air Base for training.
SP Premsukh Delu confirmed that the jet caught fire upon impact. Police and fire service teams arrived at the scene promptly to carry out rescue operations. The exact cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
