Tensions between India and Pakistan have sharply escalated following a deadly terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir, which killed 26 people. Pakistan's ambassador to Russia, Muhammad Khalid Jamali, stated in an interview that Pakistan has credible intelligence suggesting India may launch a military offensive.
He warned that if such an attack occurs, Pakistan will respond with full force, including both conventional and nuclear capabilities.
The conflict has also affected diplomatic ties, with India suspending the Indus Waters Treaty and Pakistan retaliating by halting trade and airspace access for Indian aircraft. Both countries have conducted military exercises and missile tests near the border, fueling fears of a potential war.
Khalid Jamali urged the international community to intervene and called for a neutral investigation into the Kashmir attack, suggesting countries like China and Russia could assist.
